My mini oasis… my small piece of heaven, my chill space, or as I often refer to it, my creative space.
I prefer to call this room my creative space. To me it’s not a “recording studio”. In my head when I say recording studio, I want to think of something much more grand. But this room, this space always has ideas flowing in and out of it. This is the space where I spend 8-10 hours a day. How do I NOT lose my mind? Well, frankly I trick it a little bit.
I’m lucky enough that my day job, the one that pays the majority of the bills, requires me to be creative. I’m a videographer by day, songwriter by night. So this space doubles as a recording space and an editing space.
How to get on Spotify Playlists Video: https:/I run two different PC’s. One for my recording rig and the other for my editing. I like to separate the two. That way I tend to me more “all in” on whatever project I’m working on. Having a KMV switch makes life much easier. With the press of one button, I can be on my other machine.
My main workspace has a 40” Samsung 4k TV, a set of M-Audio BX8A’s, Yamaha S08 Keyboard, Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Gen Interface, M-Audio Axiom 25 and Samson Graphite MF8. Lots of other goodies can be found scattered around the space. Many more microphones and cables are tucked away in storage.
