How much money do super star artists get paid on Spotify? I’ve got some numbers for you!
If you watched my video about How Much You Can Make On Spotify, you know the “approximatly” breakdown per play is $0.00375. Not much… right? Let me throw some math out at you…
Before I do tho, this is of course just an estimate. Taking my hard numbers and carrying that math over to superstar numbers. Also this doesn’t take into account manager cuts, labels and all that stuff. So with every artist their actual “take home” will be different. Also, I’m using my Spotify artist access to get these daily play numbers. For those that have an artist profile, you know exactly what i’m talking about. For those who don’t, it’s just a dashboard that is full of analytics for your music and you can compare to other artists as well.
Also, keep in mind, when one of these mega stars has a big release, their numbers will sky rocket for a while. Example, I’ve seen Drake have 115+ million plays in a day.

- Over $23 million a year
- Post Malone
- 19 million streams a day
- $71250 a day
- Over $26 million a year

- $11,250 a day
- Over $4.1 million a year
And remember this is all JUST Spotify numbers! Not iTunes, Apple Music, Tidal, YouTube or any other outlets!
