Not all streams are created equal!
That’s right, not all streams are created equal. You get paid differently for each country your music is played in on Spotify! So what ones payout the most? Or the least? Well, I pull my 5 most popular counties and took a look at how they stacked up to each other. Below are the results!
1) US – $0.0040 ///// 2) UK – $0.0050 ///// 3) Canada – $0.0028 ///// 4) Germany – $0.0033 ///// 5) Australia – $0.0040
Highest pay per stream: Iceland – $0.0052
That’s right, Iceland is my highest paying country on Spotify! I do like that the US and the UK pay out over $0.004 and they are my 2 most popular countries.
So why is this important? I suppose knowledge is power… or maybe you can target different markets with your marketing plan?
